DSSSB Forest Guard Recruitment 2025: There is great news for the youth dreaming of a government job in Delhi. Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released a notification for recruitment to the posts of Forest Guard in the Forest and Wildlife Department. This recruitment is a special opportunity for those youth who are 12th pass and want to contribute to the work of protecting nature and forests.

Let us tell you that the application process for this recruitment has started from 18 August 2025 and candidates can apply till 16 September 2025. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of DSSSB https://dsssb.delhi.gov.in. Candidates should apply for this recruitment quickly because the last date is very close.

How many posts will be recruited?

A total of 52 posts will be recruited under this recruitment drive. Out of these, 19 posts are for general category candidates, 18 posts are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates. 6 posts will be given to Scheduled Caste (SC) category candidates, 5 posts to Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and 4 posts to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates. That is, this recruitment has brought opportunities for the youth of all sections.

What is the necessary eligibility?

To apply for the post of Forest Guard, candidates must be 12th pass. Along with this, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and maximum 27 years. Age will be calculated on the basis of 16 September 2025. However, reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules of the government.

Physical Standards

It is important to be physically fit for the job of Forest Guard. The height of male candidates should be at least 163 cm and chest 84 cm, in which expansion of 5 cm is mandatory. The height of female candidates should be at least 150 cm. Running ability is also an important part of the selection process. Male candidates will have to complete a 25 km race in 4 hours while women will have to complete a 16 km race in 4 hours.

This much application fee will have to be paid

Candidates of General, OBC and EWS category will have to deposit Rs 100 as application fee. On the other hand, SC, ST, PH and female candidates will not have to pay any kind of fee. Application fee can be paid only in online mode through debit card, credit card or internet banking.

Selection Process

In this recruitment, candidates will be selected through written examination. The exam will be based on objective type multiple choice questions (MCQ). A total of 200 questions will be asked in this two-hour exam. Each question will be of one mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answer.

The exam will include questions related to general knowledge, general intelligence and reasoning, arithmetical ability, Hindi language and comprehension and English language and comprehension. 40 questions will be asked from each section, i.e. there will be a total of five sections.

How much salary will be given

Candidates selected for the post of Forest Guard will be given salary under Pay Level-3, Group-C. The starting salary will be Rs 21,700, which can increase to a maximum of Rs 69,100 with time. Apart from this, candidates will also get other government allowances and facilities.
