The National Lok Adalat seems to be on tomorrow i.e. 13 September 2025. This court is held four times a year. In this, the smallest and larger challan is settled. In many cases the challan is completely forgiven and sometimes the case is finished by paying low amount.

You will have to take some important documents along to forgive or settle the challan in Lok Adalat. Let us understand them one by one:

  1. Copy of challan – Keep photocopy of the challan that is to be forgiven. In this, challan number, vehicle number and date should be written clearly.
  2. Registration Certificate (RC) – Registration certificate of vehicle is necessary. Keep both its original and a copy together.
  3. Driving license – It is mandatory for the driver to carry a valid driving license.
  4. Identity card – Keep one of the Aadhaar cards, PAN card, voter ID or passport with you.
  5. Summons or notice – If you have received a notice from the court for a particular challan, then take its copy along.
  6. Old payment receipt – If you have deposited some amount of the challan first, then keep its receipt along with it.
  7. Authorization letter – If the vehicle owner cannot be present himself, then the person going from his behalf needs a power of attorney or authorized letter.
