The National Lok Adalat seems to be on tomorrow i.e. 13 September 2025. This court is held four times a year. In this, the smallest and larger challan is settled. Which documents should be taken? (Lok Adalat: Important Documents)
You will have to take some important documents along to forgive or settle the challan in Lok Adalat. Let us understand them one by one:
- Copy of challan – Keep photocopy of the challan that is to be forgiven. In this, challan number, vehicle number and date should be written clearly.
- Registration Certificate (RC) – Registration certificate of vehicle is necessary. Keep both its original and a copy together.
- Driving license – It is mandatory for the driver to carry a valid driving license.
- Identity card – Keep one of the Aadhaar cards, PAN card, voter ID or passport with you.
- Summons or notice – If you have received a notice from the court for a particular challan, then take its copy along.
- Old payment receipt – If you have deposited some amount of the challan first, then keep its receipt along with it.
- Authorization letter – If the vehicle owner cannot be present himself, then the person going from his behalf needs a power of attorney or authorized letter.
