The Bombay High Court also received a suspicious email on Friday (September 12) on Friday (September 12) after receiving a bomb threat in the Delhi High Court. It warned of bombings. After the threat, there was a stir in the court premises and immediately all the judges, lawyers and staff were thrown out of the building.
Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and Dog Squad reached the spot and started a thorough search of the entire campus. During this time all the actions and administrative functions of the court were postponed. The police has increased the security of the court premises and the surrounding areas.
According to eyewitnesses, there was chaos as the news of threatening email spread. The exit scenes of the judges and advocates were captured in the camera and also went viral on social media. Police officials have confirmed that an attempt is being made to trace the threat email with the help of cyber cell.
On this morning, the Delhi High Court was also threatened by an email to the Delhi High Court. Email claimed that three bombs were planted in the court premises which would be explored after 2 pm. After this, the court was immediately evacuated and the bomb disposal squad started a search. Many judges and lawyers suddenly left the court and came out, causing a stampede -like situation in the campus.
According to reports, this email was sent from an ID called “Kanimi Thewariya”. Police sources said that the work is going on to find out the origin of the email and check its authenticity. At present, no suspicious item has been found during the search. On the same day in Delhi and Mumbai, the bomb threat by the High Court has raised the concern of the security agencies. Investigation is going on on both the incidents and the security of the court premises has been tightened.
