Jitiya vrat aarti: Jitiya fast has started with Nahai Khay from 13 September. Mothers do this fast for the long life of their children. The fast of Jitiya is done. There is religious belief that by observing this fast, Lord Jeevivavahana is happy and fulfills all the desires soon. According to the scriptures, Parikshit, son of the Pandavas, was revived after his death with the virtue of this fast. On this day, women worship in auspicious time after sunset and the next day observe the fast in the auspicious time. It is said that in this puja, Aarti of Jemutavahana must be performed with fasting and without its fast, there is no complete fruit.
