Nick Woltemade had a dream start in the black and white stripes of Newcastle, scoring his first goal at St James' Park after his £69million transfer from Stuttgart to help the Magpies to a 1-0 victory over Wolves. The towering 6ft 6in striker entered the match with the weight of expectation on his shoulders, tasked with replacing Alexander Isak following his £125million move to Liverpool. However, he delivered when it mattered most and shone on his debut.

Facing bottom-of-the-table Wolves, Newcastle were desperate for their first win of the season. It took some time for Woltemade to find his rhythm, but the magic moment came 30 minutes into the game when he expertly headed home Jacob Murphy's cross from the right wing. Woltemade's performance wasn't the only standout of the match, with Sandro Tonali, Nick Pope, Jacob Murphy, and Fabian Schar all making significant contributions.
