On hearing the name of cannabis (Vijaya), people often see it only by connecting it with intoxication, but its seeds are actually considered medicinal and nutrition. Ayurveda, traditional medical methods and modern science have all accepted its medicinal benefits.

About 30% of good fats are found in cannabis seeds, with omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The gamma-linolenic acid present in them is helpful in reducing inflammation and hormonal balance. In addition, these seeds are also rich in vitamin E, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, calcium and zinc.

Best source of protein

Cannabis seeds are considered a complete protein source because all the essential amino acids are present in them. About 30% of their total calories comes from high quality protein, which makes them more nutritious than other seeds such as chia seeds and flaxseeds. It is especially useful for vegetarian people and athletes.

These seeds contain both soluble and insoluble fiber. They keep the digestive system clean, strengthen the intestines and relieve constipation. Also, fiber controls blood sugar and cholesterol, which reduces the risk of obesity and diabetes.

Amino acid called arginin present in cannabis seeds produces nitric oxide in the body, which relaxes blood vessels and controls blood pressure. Omega-3 fatty acids present in them keep the heart healthy and protect the brain from problems like Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

In Ayurveda, cannabis seeds have been used for a long time to cure gynecology and hormonal imbalance. The fatty acids and micronutrients present in them balance the hormone levels. Also, it is also beneficial for the skin. They keep the skin young by increasing collagen production and gives relief in problems like acne and eczema.

Chew cannabis seeds in many ways and chew one or two teaspoons in diet, soaked them and mix them in smoothie, add sauce, salad and oats and can be included in food. Experts believe that its consumption in balanced amounts not only gives strength to the body but also improves the entire health.
