Benicio del Toro and Leonardo DiCaprio have officially paired up for their upcoming project titled ‘ One Battle After Another ’. The thrilling film shows how a father and daughter haunted by his wife’s past affiliations deal with keeping his child safe. Del Toro also stars in a titular role in the film, and recently, the actor even opened up about working on the film and how it was a “great opportunity” for him to work with such a talented actor.

On September 8, ‘One Battle After Another’ had a special screening premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. During the event, Benicio Del Toro opened up about his role in an interview with People. He also talked about how he has been a big admirer of Leonardo DiCaprio’s work and how great it was to work with the actor on the thrilling project.

He shared how DiCaprio’s character is the main part of the story, and the best way to work on the film was to just let him work his magic. On top of that, Del Toro talked about his part, saying, “So for me [...] with Leo, it's like, work around him and just [make] sure that we fed the story with my character in it”.

He also added that, “Leo is one of those actors that I've been admiring for decades, and I never had a chance to work with. So getting this chance to work with him was a great experience and a great opportunity for me, and I hope he feels the same way”.

Similarly, DiCaprio has also revealed that one of the biggest reasons behind him taking on the role was the fact that Paul Thomas Anderson was heading the project. He had shared that, “Ever since I met Paul early on and I saw Boogie Nights, I've been an obsessive fan of his work, watched all his movies. And I was just saying his films ruminate in my mind, and they're conversation pieces with my friends. They last.”

‘One Battle After Another’ follows Bob, a washed-up revolutionary who has been living off-grid with his determined daughter, Willa. When his past comes back to haunt him, Bob must go against all odds in order to keep his daughter safe from anything and everything that comes their way.

The film stars other names such as Regina Hall , Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, Alana Haim, Wood Harris, and Chase Infiniti, who will be playing the role of Willa. This also marks her debut on the big screen.
