In a shocking incident in the Budhana area of Muzaffarnagar district, armed assailants targeted a jewelry vendor on Sunday, making off with gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs, along with a mobile phone and cash. This information was confirmed by local police.
According to police reports, the jewelry seller, identified as Neem Chand, was riding his motorcycle towards his shop on the Budhana-Habibpur road when the robbers struck.
In his complaint to the police, Neem Chand stated that three unidentified criminals halted him and, under the threat of firearms, stole jewelry valued at several lakhs, his mobile phone, and ₹4,000 in cash before fleeing the scene.
Indu Siddharth, the Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), informed reporters that upon receiving the alert, police swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
