Humidity continues in Delhi-NCR, heavy rain alert in UP, monsoon bidding adieu to Rajasthan

New Delhi: The mood of monsoon has changed in various states of the country. While on one hand people in Delhi-NCR are troubled by the humid heat, on the other hand, heavy rain alert has been issued in many districts of Uttar Pradesh.

In Rajasthan also, the monsoon has gradually begun to depart.

Let us know what will be the weather condition in the major states of the country.

Delhi-NCR: No respite from heat and humidity

The capital Delhi and its surrounding areas are currently experiencing humid heat. Although the sky was lightly cloudy on Sunday, it did not rain. The day temperature is being recorded at 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is between 25 to 26 degrees Celsius. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain in Delhi-NCR between September 16 and 20, but there is little chance of very heavy rain.

Uttar Pradesh: Heavy rain alert in eastern parts

The weather in Uttar Pradesh is showing different forms according to day and night. During the day, it is feeling hot due to strong sunlight, while at night there is relief due to wind. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

On September 15, heavy rain is expected in districts like Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti and Kushinagar in eastern UP. There
is also a rain alert in Gonda, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri and Ambedkar Nagar districts.
There is a possibility of light rain and thundershowers at some places in western UP.
Rajasthan: Monsoon starts leaving, light drizzle in some districts

Monsoon has now started to slowly leave Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has started retreating from some parts of western Rajasthan and by September 25, it will leave the entire state.

During this time also, yellow alert has been issued for light to moderate rain in 9 districts like Bundi, Kota, Baran, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur and Banswara.
With the departure of monsoon, the mood of the weather will start changing in Rajasthan. It will be hot during the day, but the nights will start becoming pleasant.
Uttarakhand: Alert of heavy rain in hilly districts

The weather has deteriorated in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand as well. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rains at many places on September 15.

Orange alert has been issued for Dehradun, Bageshwar, Champawat and Nainital districts. There
is also a danger of heavy rain and lightning in Pauri, Chamoli, Udham Singh Nagar and Pithoragarh districts.
Landslides have also been reported due to rain. Recently, the Rishikesh-Gangotri highway was blocked for about 3 hours due to a landslide in Narendra Nagar area. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the period of heavy rain will continue till September 20.
