Similarly a model-turned-actress who is also a director and wife of multimillionaire chose an unconventional path for her role. To ace the character she actually spend an entire month in a slum. Archana Puran Singh and hubby Parmeet Sethi recently visited the T-Series office along with son Ayushmaan Sethi for their new series- ‘Dabbe Mein Kya Hai? where they interact with film personalities and share their home cooked lunch. During their interaction Divya revealed how she was made to live in a slum and the challenges she faced while learning the local language during the filming of her latest released film Ek Chatur Naar. Divya said I didn’t know the UP language but I learnt it and practiced it at home. Later our director made me live in a slum for almost a month. Her director Umesh Shukla further added There is this place called Badshah nagar in Lucknow that is where we shot this film. It is a real slum.” Divya revealed how jhopdi (hut) was right next to a ganda naala (gutter) “I eventually got used to the bad smell.” She said. She further recalled Oh My God! It was an open naala I was standing at the verge of the naala. I was this close to falling in there. I was extremely scared.” Her co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh added The naala was extremely fresh with fresh garbage. Divya started her career as a model and later starred in many popular music videos including Zid Na Karo Ye Dil Ka Mamla Hai by Roop Johri and Kunal Ganjawala and Falguni Pathaks Aiyyo Rama. In 2004 she made her Telugu acting debut with the film Love Today and Hindi cinema debut with the film Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo. For the unversed Divya is married to Bhushan Kumar head of T-Series. According to the Hurun Rich List her husbands net worth is staggering Rs 10000 crore and they are considered one of the wealthiest families in the entire Indian film fraternity.
