Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited Dhadi Darshan (queue system) is set to be introduced at Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri within the next seven days after the ongoing relocation of the hundi (donation box) in the shrine complex.

Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan told reporters during his visit to Angul on Sunday that the process of shifting the hundi has already started after obtaining all necessary approvals from the authorities concerned.

“The process of relocating the hundi is underway and the requisite permissions have been secured. Once the donation box is shifted, the Dhadi Darshan system will be implemented within next seven days,” he said.

Stating that the new system will ensure a more orderly and secure darshan experience, the Minister said this arrangement is aimed at facilitating a smooth flow of devotees while maintaining security and decorum inside the temple premises.

The Dhadi Darshan system will allow devotees to queue in an organised manner, reducing overcrowding, congestion and ensuring fair access to the presiding deities.

This is seen as a major step toward streamlining the temple management and enhancing the overall devotee experience. Crowd control, security, and spiritual ambience are expected to improve with this transformation.

Harichandan, who also holds Works and Excise portfolio, was in Angul to review some ongoing projects. Officials were asked to ensure that delayed projects are completed within the revised deadlines.
