Nowadays, almost every government scheme requires an Aadhaar Card. If you have not yet linked your Aadhaar with an LPG connection, then you will not get the benefit of the gas subsidy. Therefore, it is necessary to link Aadhaar with an LPG connection. Its methods are very easy. You can do this work online or offline, sitting at home.

Today, we will tell you how to get a subsidy on a gas connection and who gets it. Along with this, we will also know who does not get a subsidy and due to which reasons the subsidy money can get stuck many times.

What is the LPG Subsidy, and how much is available?

The subsidy on domestic gas is sent by the government directly to the bank account linked to the consumer's Aadhaar.

People with a general LPG connection get a subsidy of about Rs 79 per cylinder.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the subsidy amount is up to Rs 300.

The benefit of the subsidy is given only on a maximum of 12 cylinders in a year. But it is available only to those consumers whose family income (including husband and wife) is less than Rs 10 lakh.

Who does not get the LPG Subsidy?

The government started the Give It Up campaign in 2015, in which financially capable people were encouraged to voluntarily give up subsidies. After this, a rule was made in 2016 that those whose annual family income is more than Rs 10 lakh will not get a subsidy.

LPG subsidy money can get stuck due to these reasons

Often, people book gas and then wait for the subsidy to come into their account. But many times, the subsidy money suddenly stops coming. There can be many reasons behind this:

If your Aadhaar is not linked to the LPG connection and bank account, or if e-KYC is not complete.

If your bank account is inactive or closed.

If your LPG connection has not been used for a long time, it has become inactive.

How to link an LPG connection to Aadhaar. This is the online method.

You can easily link LPG to Aadhaar online. For this, go to https://rasf.uidai.gov.in/seeding/User/ResidentSelfSeedingpds.aspx. Here, choose the LPG company (Indane, Bharat Gas, or HP Gas), enter the distributor and consumer number, then enter the Aadhaar number and mobile number. After the verification is completed with OTP, you will get a confirmation on your mobile and email.

Offline method to link LPG connection to Aadhaar

If there is a problem online, then you can directly go to your LPG distributor's office and submit the details of your Aadhaar card and gas connection.

If you want the subsidy to keep coming to your bank account every time after cylinder booking, then keep your Aadhaar linked and e-KYC complete, your bank account should be active, and LPG connection should also be active.
