Baal Aadhaar Update: Is your child's Aadhaar Card made? If yes, then it is important to know that it has to be updated from time to time. UIDAI has made this rule for children that it is mandatory to update biometric information in the Aadhaar card at the ages of 5 and 15 years. If this is not done, then it may be difficult to take advantage of admission, scholarship, and government schemes in the future.

First update at 5 years
The Aadhaar card that children below 5 years of age get does not contain biometric information. It is made only on the basis of the details of the parents. As soon as the child turns 5 years old, it is necessary to update his/her Baal Aadhaar again (Baal Aadhaar Card Update). During this, the child's fingerprint, eye scanning, and photo are taken. This is called Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU).

Second update at 15 years
As children grow up, their biometric information changes. Therefore, it is necessary to update the Aadhaar card again at the age of 15 years. If this is not done, Aadhaar can become inactive, and many future works can be stopped.

What is the fee for updating the Aadhaar of children?

Updating the Aadhaar of children is completely free. No fee or charge has to be paid for this. If someone asks you for money, then understand that he is wrong. UIDAI has clarified that parents do not have to pay any money for updating a child's Aadhaar.

Complete the process of updating child's Aadhaar

For this, first go to UIDAI's website uidai.gov.in, and book an appointment. Go to the nearest Aadhaar center with the child on the date given to you. There, take the child's birth certificate, proof of identity and address along with the parents' Aadhaar card. At the center, the data is updated by taking the child's fingerprint, eye scanning, and photo. After this, the child's Aadhaar card will be considered valid.

What will happen if Aadhaar is not updated on time?

If the Aadhaar of children is not updated at the ages of 5 and 15 years, then it can become inactive. In such a situation, children will face problems in getting admission in school and getting the benefits of many government schemes. Therefore, it is very important to update the child's Aadhaar in time.

If your child's Aadhaar card is made, then definitely check whether the biometric have been updated in it or not. If not, then go to the nearest Aadhaar center today and get this work done so that there is no problem in the future.
