New Delhi: Indian women’s cricket team star Smriti Mandhana has once again made history. She has secured the number one spot in the recently released ICC Women’s ODI rankings. With her impressive batting, she has surpassed England’s powerful player Nat Sciver-Brunt.

How did she achieve this success? This remarkable achievement came after she scored a half-century in a recent match against Australia. Although India lost that match, Smriti played a brilliant innings of 58 runs off 63 balls. For this innings, she received seven rating points, taking her to the top of the rankings with 735 points. Nat Sciver-Brunt slipped to second place with 731 points.

This is a very special moment for Smriti, as she has achieved this feat again after 2019. Her achievement is a huge boost for the Indian team ahead of the upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup.

Other Indian players also gained in the rankings. Opener Pratika Rawal moved up to 42nd place after scoring 64 runs, while Harleen Deol reached 43rd place after scoring 54 runs. Meanwhile, Australia’s Beth Mooney also moved up three places to fifth.

This news reflects India’s growing dominance in women’s cricket and is a great inspiration for our players.
