Once again, big news has come about Noida International Airport. The new international airport built in Jewar, Noida has been fully prepared for its first flight. The country's Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has recently confirmed that Jewar Airport will be opened for passengers from October 30.

Initially flights will start from here for ten big cities, including metro cities like Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai. This step will prove to be a big change not only for UP, but for the network of air travel across the country. The launch date of this mega project has been changed thrice so far. Earlier it was planned to start in September 2024, then April 2025 and later June 2025 was targeted. But now the date of October 30 has been finalized.

Indigo will run international flights

The country's airline company IndiGo is also going to start some international flights from Jewar Airport. With this, people from Noida and surrounding areas will start getting flights directly to go abroad. With the opening of Jewar Airport, not only will the journey of passengers be easy, but new opportunities for trade, tourism and investment will also increase.

Passengers will get many facilities at the airport

Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said that within the next two months, all the airports of the country, including Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, will start providing facilities like free Wi-Fi, library and kid zone to passengers. Extension work is still going on at Hindon Airport, so new flights will not start there yet.

Mega project will be completed in four stages

Noida International Airport is being constructed at a cost of Rs 29,650 crore. About Rs 10,056 crore will be spent in the first phase. After completion of the airport, one will become one of the largest airports in India. This airport will be spread over 1,334 hectares. In the first phase, a runway and a modern terminal building will be built, which will be able to serve 1.2 crore passengers annually. According to the Aviation Minister, the first phase of work will start by April next year, and the entire development will be completed in four stages. When these four stages are over, the airport will be able to handle 7 crore passengers annually.

Switzerland company is making Jewar Airport

This airport is making a big company in Switzerland. The terminal building will be spread over about 1 lakh sqm, with a total of 28 aircraft to be erected. Also, 40 acres will be a hub of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and a multi-model cargo hub will be developed on 80 acres, which will also strengthen it in terms of business.
