Credit card fraud: In the digital age, where the credit card has made life easier, this facility is now becoming an opportunity for cyber criminals. Credit cards have become common for works like online shopping, bill payment and travel booking, but a little carelessness can cause heavy losses. Scammers are looking for every opportunity where they can steal your card details and clean the money from the account. Between the growing cyber fraud, it is important that the credit card users be cautious and understand the methods that make it cheated. Common methods of credit card fraud

Skimming:-
Scammers often steal the card information by putting secret card readers in places like ATMs, restaurants or petrol pumps. When you pay, your card details reach them without knowing.

Fishing:-

How to avoid credit card scam?

Keep the card details secret, never share your card number, PIN, OTP or CVV with anyone, whether the front is telling themselves as a bank officer.

Avoid unknown links or messages

If the link comes in the name of payment or offer from an unknown number, do not click on it. These links can steal all your information.

Use different cards

Keep different cards for autopements (such as electricity, mobile bills) and shopping etc. Due to this, even if one is framed with a card, the other will be safe.

Do not transact on public Wi-Fi

Avoid online transactions while using public Wi-Fi in places like cafes, malls, airports. If you have to do it, then use VPN.
