Meeting on Special Intensive Revision of Voter Lists

On Tuesday, Haryana's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) A. Srinivas led a meeting focused on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists, urging all recognized national and state political parties to appoint their Booth Level Agents (BLAs) by September 30.

He instructed officials to ensure that this information is shared with the Chief Electoral Officer, as well as with all Deputy Commissioners and District Election Officers in the state.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) is conducting its first SIR in Bihar, where elections are scheduled for later this year.

During the meeting, he addressed representatives from political parties, stating that all states and Union Territories are currently engaged in the pre-revision work of voter lists, in accordance with the guidelines set by the Election Commission. This marks the first comprehensive revision in Haryana in nearly 23 years.
