According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), light rain and thundershowers are expected in Delhi and the NCR region over the next 24 hours. This weather is expected to continue until September 19. The weather will likely change over the next three days.

The sky will be partly cloudy on Thursday, September 18th. Friday, September 19th will be sunny and warm. Maximum temperatures could rise to 37°C, making people feel hot.

Alert issued in Jharkhand

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Jharkhand for the next five days. During this period, heavy rainfall is expected at many places until September 22nd. Light to moderate rain may also occur at isolated places. Strong winds with speeds of up to 30-40 kilometers per hour are possible in some areas, and there is a risk of thunderstorms and lightning.

On Thursday, heavy rains are expected in Jamui, Munger, Banka, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, and all the districts of North Bihar. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, and Katihar. Other districts, including Bhabua, Patna, and Lakhisarai, are expected to receive light rain.

Strong winds will blow in these states for the next 5 days

According to the IMD, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are possible at many places in Tamil Nadu from September 18 to 19. Similar rainfall is also expected in Kerala, Mahe, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, and coastal and southern parts of Karnataka on September 18. Strong winds (30-40 km/h) are likely over coastal Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema for the next five days.

Apart from Arunachal Pradesh, these states will receive heavy rains.

According to the department, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are possible at many places in Arunachal Pradesh from September 18 to 19. Heavy rain is expected in Assam and Meghalaya from September 18 to 23, while heavy rain is expected in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from September 19 to 23.

Chances of rain in these states too

According to Skymet, a private weather forecaster, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls is likely over Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, eastern Uttar Pradesh, parts of Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Assam. Light to moderate rain is likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and South Gujarat. Light rain is also likely over Jammu and Kashmir, southeast Rajasthan, northern Punjab, northern Haryana, and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
