A cherished Gogglebox star has been showered with praise by fans after unveiling her incredible weight loss transformation. Amy Tapper, who first appeared on the Channel 4 hit in its debut series back in 2013 alongside her father Jonathan, mother Nikki, and brother Josh, has been open about her health journey - and now says she's seeing life-changing results.

The Tapper family quickly became firm favourites with viewers thanks to their quick wit and hilarious commentary. However, they left the show in 2018 after Josh departed to pursue a career in politics, and Amy moved on to take part in E4's Celebs Go Dating.

Now, at 24, Amy revealed she's fitting into size 18 clothes for the first time since her mid-teens. She told fans: "I'm fitting into size 18 clothes for the first time since I was 15 or 16 - it's hard for me to believe.

"It's changed my life. I went to the theatre the other night and when I sat down, my thighs weren't touching the person next to me, or the sides of the chairs. I had room."

Amy explained that her transformation has been far from easy, addressing criticism from those who dismissed her choice of using Mounjaro as the "lazy way out."

She hit back: "I get annoyed that some people call it the lazy way out. I don't want people to think that I've sat around for the last 17 years of my life not trying to lose weight. I want people to know that this has been my only option to get this far."

Her loyal legion of fans have since flooded her social media with messages of support, praising her honesty and determination. One follower wrote: "You're an inspiration, Amy. Thank you for keeping it so real."

Amy has spoken openly about how she faced cruel comments about her size from the very start of her TV career on Gogglebox. She was just 13 when the Tapper family joined the show in 2013, and she quickly became a target for body-shaming online. She said people would post nasty remarks on Twitter and Instagram every time the show aired.

In a 2022 interview, Amy told MailOnline: "People commented on my weight, my looks, even my voice I was told I was 'too loud' or that I 'took up too much space'. I was a child, but people forgot that and just thought they could say whatever they liked."
