New Delhi: The Japanese anime film Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has continued its successful run in Indian cinemas, crossing the Rs 51 crore mark within six days of release. Despite a visible slowdown in mid-week numbers, the fantasy-action spectacle has managed to maintain strong momentum.
Released on September 12, the Haruo Sotozaki-directed film collected Rs 51.20 crore net in India by day 6. According to early estimates, the anime earned Rs 3.50 crore on Wednesday, registering its lowest single-day figure since release. The number is a slight dip from Tuesday’s Rs 4 crore and Monday’s Rs 3.9 crore.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle box office collectionThe opening weekend powered the film to an impressive start. Day 1 delivered Rs 12.85 crore, the highest so far. Saturday and Sunday brought in Rs 13 crore each, ensuring a robust total of Rs 38.85 crore in just three days. By Tuesday, collections had touched Rs 47.70 crore, showcasing the film’s wide appeal.
Sacnilk data revealed an overall occupancy of 13.09% across India on day 6 for the Japanese version. Morning shows recorded 8.78%, while afternoon shows rose to 14.84%. Night shows peaked at 15.66%.
English (2D) Version: Morning at 9.01%, afternoon at 10.92%, and night at 12.04%.
Hindi Version: Morning shows drew 6.94%, afternoon 9.45%, and night 7.66%.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle marks the beginning of a three-part finale to the record-breaking anime franchise. Produced by Ufotable, the movie follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young warrior who joins the Demon Slayer Corps after his family is murdered and his sister Nezuko is turned into a demon.
The Infinity Castle arc sets up a decisive battle between Tanjiro, the Hashira warriors, and powerful demons. A much-anticipated highlight is the showdown of Tanjiro and Giyu against the formidable Akaza.
Following its global release on September 12, after an earlier premiere in Japan, the film has already become the fourth-highest-grossing Japanese release worldwide. In its home country, it stands as the top-earning film of 2025.
