A woman was seen biting apitbull after she had been pulled to the floor and tried to save her dog during the attack.
Shirley Pasamanick, 69, told how she was walking her 14-year-old dog Sparky in Orlando, Florida, on September 1, when the pitbull suddenly went for them. Footage shows the moment at Plaza Tropical Supermarket when the aggressive pitbull tried to get at Shirley’s dog and she fell to the ground while trying to hold onto the lead.
She was screaming for help as she attempted to stop the attack, and tried to separate the dogs when the pitbull sunk its teeth into her pet.

Shirley said she was using her cane to beat away the dog, and then tried to force open the pitbull’s mouth - but being unable to do so, she bit the animal.
And after the attack she said she was “shaking for days”. She stated: "I had my cane, I started beating him with the cane." When the pit bull kept attacking Sparky, Shirley came up with a more desperate idea - she decided to bite the dog.
“I had my hands on his mouth and tried to open his mouth,” she said. “And I couldn’t do it because I wasn’t strong enough, so I leaned down and bit him on the back of his neck.”
It is understood the attack finally ended when the owner of the pitbull emerged. An angry Shirley said that he did not show any concern for her or her pet. She and her pet were left with bites and bruises, and she said what was most alarming for her was that nobody went to her aid.
“[They] just stood there. And people are going to see it now that you’re cowardly,” she said, per WLBT. Shirley also said the pitbull needs to “be put down” following the attack. “Something has to be done. I was shaking for days after this happened,” she added.
She shared the attack on Facebook: "This is video from my last Sunday when my dog, sparky was attacked by a pitbull at the plaza tropical grocery store near my house. Thank God my dog is ok. Please share this so people can beware this can happen anywhere. Dog came out of nowhere. I'm shaking every time I see it!"
And in response to a comment, she added: "I really had no time to think. I'm just grateful my baby is going to be ok. He's 14, way too old to have to have gone through that."
