The state government is now preparing for the fifth ground braking ceremony (GBC-5). This time, private investment projects of more than ₹ 5 lakh crore are going to land on the ground, due to which the industrial picture of the state is expected to change further.

Four times the picture of the state changed

CM Yogi said that in the last eight and a half years, four ground braking ceremonies have been organized on the mantra of ‘Reform, Perform and Transform’. Through these, about ₹ 15 lakh crore industrial projects have been implemented. With these efforts, more than 60 lakh youth of the state have got employment and job opportunity.

GBC-5 will be held in November

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the high-level meeting of the Industrial Development Department that no laxity will be tolerated in the preparations for GBC-5 to be held in November. He instructed all the departments to ensure work in a time bound manner and regular monitoring of every investment proposal should be done.

Emphasis on dialogue in land acquisition

On matters to land allocation, CM Yogi said that the process of acquisition should be done with sensitivity and communication. He clarified that the land is the lifetime capital of the farmers, so if the acquisition is done in the state interest, then the owners should get appropriate compensation. No farmer or land owner had to face trouble, it was asked to take special care of it.

If not used in three years, then land will be canceled

The Chief Minister gave strict instructions that if the industrial units have been given land, if they do not use it correctly within three years, their allotted land will be canceled and it will be made available to other investors.

Special employment zone will be built in every district

It was also decided in the meeting that ‘special employment zones’ will be made in all the districts, which will be dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This zone will be developed in at least 100 acres in every district. There will be activities to industry, investment, startup, skill development and employment. The Chief Minister said that this model will become an example for the whole country.
