IBPS PO Exam Pattern: Exam Pattern
The IBPS PO Preliminary Exam was held on August 17, 23, and 24, 2025. The question paper consisted of 100 objective-type questions in three sections, carrying a total of 100 marks. The question paper was divided into three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
The English Language paper consisted of 30 questions, carrying 30 marks.
Quantitative Aptitude consisted of 35 questions, carrying 30 marks.
Reasoning Ability consisted of 35 questions, carrying 40 marks.
Candidates were given 20 minutes to complete each section. Thus, the total duration of the exam was 60 minutes (1 hour).
IBPS PO Marking Scheme: Marking Scheme
To pass the exam, candidates must obtain a minimum cut-off mark in each section. According to the marking scheme, 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. Negative marking means that marks will be deducted for incorrect answers. Therefore, it is important to think carefully and answer correctly, rather than rushing through the exam.
