In an interview with a local media outlet, Akhilesh Pandey, an astrologer from Griha Sthanam in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, emphasized the dual importance of Sharadiya Navratri from both a religious and Vastu perspective. He noted that following Vastu guidelines while worshipping the Goddess during these nine days can usher in positive energy, happiness, wealth, and mental tranquility. The festival serves as a reminder that genuine worship involves maintaining a clean and energetically positive home, where the synergy of Vastu and devotion amplifies the significance of Navratri.

Day 1 – Shailputri Puja and Main Door Decoration
On the inaugural day, devotees honor Goddess Shailputri. Vastu recommends adorning the main entrance with flowers and mango leaves, while drawing auspicious symbols like a swastika to invite positive energy and ward off negativity.
Day 2 – Brahmacharini and Kitchen Purification
The second day is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini. It is auspicious to clean the kitchen thoroughly and sprinkle camphor or Ganga water, as a pure kitchen is vital for family health and prosperity.
Day 3 – Chandraghanta and Worship Place Direction
On the third day, Goddess Chandraghanta is worshipped. Vastu suggests that the worship area should be positioned in the east or north-east. Cleaning and decorating the temple with fresh flowers and new cloth enhances spiritual energy.
