Health experts said that Ragi provides many benefits for health. Ragi is a very good source of calcium and iron, so it helps in strengthening bones. Apart from this, consuming ragi is easy to digest while it can also help in keeping hunger control.

Ragi idli

Apart from making ragi bread, you can make idli. To make it, take equal quantity of ragi flour and swell in a bowl. Mix it well. Now add 1 cup curd and salt and mix it and leave it for 15 minutes. Whisk the batter light and even if you want to swell or you can also add a pinch of eno. Apply oil on the mini idli molds and put this batter on the mold. Steam for 15 to 20 minutes.

Now heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, a pinch of asafetida and curry leaves. Add 2 chopped green chillies, 4 cups chopped onion and 4 cups chopped capsicum and finely chopped tomatoes. Add red chili, salt and turmeric powder to it. Fry for 2 to 4 minutes. When the tamutter becomes soft, add mini ragi idli and mix it. Ragi’s idli is ready.

Ragi khichu

You will also always make ragi idli instead of ragi flour, for this, first put 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add ½ teaspoon asafetida and 1 cup of water in it. Add 1 teaspoon of ginger and green chili paste, salt, 4 cups finely chopped carrots and 4 cups and cook till it softens. Add 2 cups of water to 1 cup of flour and keep it aside.

Now put the solution in the pan and keep cooking on low flame till the mixture is thick. Now put it in a plate. Sprinkle some oil or desi ghee on top. Add finely chopped coriander and add pickle masala and eat hot.

Ragi roti sandwich

You can make ragi roti sandwich for children. To make it, put water in the pan and boil it. Add 1 cup of ragi flour and cook on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Take it out in a bowl, knead a soft dough and keep it for 10 to 15 minutes. Now roll it like this roti and roast from both sides on the pan. After this, apply green chutney on top of the ragi bread and keep boiled potato pieces, tomato pieces, onion pieces. Cucumber pieces. Add grated cheese and chaat masala. Give it a sandwich shape. Put ghee on the pan and roast it lightly. Now it is hot with chutney.
