Netflix released the trailer for the “Victoria Beckham” documentary on Wednesday, showcasing key moments from her life. The documentary chronicles the journey of the former Spice Girls member turned fashion and beauty entrepreneur.
In the trailer, Victoria reflects on the backlash she faced when transitioning into fashion and reveals that her business initially lost millions of pounds. She also discusses the pressures of balancing work and family, becoming visibly emotional as she shares her motivations.
“I want my kids and David to be proud of me,” she says. “It’s taken so long to get to this point. I’m not gonna let it slip through my fingers again.”
People magazine notes that this is the first time Victoria has shown vulnerability publicly, contrasting with the strong persona she usually presents.
Her documentary is set to be divided into three parts and will premiere on Oct. 9.
Victoria and David Beckham married in 1999 in Ireland and have four children: Brooklyn, 26; Romeo, 23; Cruz, 20; and Harper, 14. The family recently faced tension after Brooklyn and his wife, billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz, reportedly stopped seeing the family following last year’s Christmas.
The documentary has already generated significant attention online, with viewers eager to see a different side of Victoria and her work. One YouTube commenter wrote: “She has actually accomplished so much.”
“Four kids, former Spice Girl, now a fashion mogul. She didn’t have to do it—she could have lived as a housewife on his income. I’m excited to watch.”
According to PeopleDavid, 50, encouraged Victoria to make the documentary. In a January interview on Today, he revealed it wasn’t easy to persuade her but emphasized that Victoria is the true star of the Beckham household.
At 51, Victoria rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of the Spice Girls. After leaving the group, she pursued a solo music career, releasing an album in 2001. In 2008, she launched her eponymous fashion label and later expanded into beauty and fragrance, establishing herself as a leading entrepreneur in the fashion industry.
