The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started working on its election strategies and the party high command has decided that all the decisions to the election will be taken in Patna. Meanwhile, some dissatisfaction is also being seen within the Grand Alliance. However, Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh has given an important statement about the Chief Ministerial candidate.

On Saturday, the Congress MP clarified that the Grand Alliance has no other option but Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav. When a reporter of news agency ANI asked Akhilesh Prasad if the opposition was ready to make Tejashwi Yadav the face of the Chief Minister, he replied that there is no other option. Tejashwi Yadav will be the face of the Chief Minister’s post.
He said that Tejashwi Yadav is still the chairman of the coordination committee, Leader of the Opposition in Bihar and was the candidate for the Chief Minister of the Grand Alliance in 2020.
The Election Commission (ECI) has not yet announced the dates. However, Bihar elections are likely to be held in October or November. The BJP, JD (U) and LJP want to continue their term in Bihar, while the Grand Alliance or India Block with RJD, Congress and Left parties wants to evict Nitish Kumar from power.
In the current 243 -member Bihar Legislative Assembly, NDA has 131 MLAs, including 80 of BJP, 45 of JD (U), Hum (S) 4 and 2 Independents. There are 111 members in the opposition India block, including 77 of RJD, 19 of Congress, 11 of CPI (Male), 2 of CPI -M and 2 of CPI.
