GST Reforms: Under the new system, GST-related complaints can be filed on the Integrated Grievance Redressal Mechanism (IGRAM) portal of the National Consumer Helpline (https://consumerhelpline.gov.in).
GST Reforms: Sharadiya Navratri begins on September 22nd, 2025. New GST rates will also come into effect on this day, making many everyday items, such as shampoo, soap, baby products, life and health insurance, etc., cheaper. The government is committed to ensuring uniform implementation across the country. Consequently, a portal has been launched to lodge GST-related complaints. You can submit your complaints regarding the new rates, billing, and discounts available after the GST reforms.
Register your complaint here
Under the new system, a separate category has been created on the Integrated Grievance Redressal Mechanism (IGRAM) portal of the National Consumer Helpline (https://consumerhelpline.gov.in). You can register GST-related complaints through sub-categories covering sectors such as automobile, banking, FMCG, and e-commerce.
You can also call or send your complaint via SMS.
You can also register your complaint via the toll-free number 1915, the NCH app, the web portal, WhatsApp, SMS, email, or the Umang app. This service is available in 17 regional languages, including Hindi, English, Tamil, Bengali, Gujarati, and Assamese. Once your complaint is registered, you will be given a unique docket number, which will allow you to track the progress of your complaint. To ensure timely resolution, the data will be shared with the concerned company, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), and other regulators.
Industry experts say that the launch of the complaint portal will help consumers understand whether goods are benefiting from the GST rate cut or where compliance is occurring. This will enable more effective implementation of tax reform at the retail level.
Track Savings This Way
In addition, the government has launched another portal where you can compare prices of goods before and after the implementation of GST. This will give you an idea of how much you are saving on each item. To do this, you can visit the government-created website http:savingwithgst.in. It also has many different categories, such as food items, household goods, electronics, snacks, etc.
