Meghan Markle's former best friend could be set to reveal "where the bodies are buried" in a tell-all book about the royal's fall from grace.

Jessica Mulroney, a Canadian stylist and previously one of Meghan's closest confidants, was put through the wringer following a "white-privilege" scandal in 2020, where she was axed from TV gigs following her spatwith lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter.

She issued an apology at the time, while her then-husband Ben quit his job as a television presenter to help her with the rampant online and professional backlash, which led to a very public souring of her friendship with the Duchess of Sussex.

Last week, five years after their friendship ended, rumours surfaced in the US that Jessica may be planning a tell-all book about her former best friend, with an advance of more than $1million apparently being dangled by publishers.

"She was upset their friendship ended. Jessica knows where the bodies are buried. Meghan will be worried," a source told theDaily Mail. But Meghan can reportedly rest assured, as Jessica has made it clear she has no intention of revealing details about their friendship.

When asked whether she might write a tell-all memoir, Jessica responded, "Absolutely not." However, according to a source close to her, despite her public silence, there may still be lingering resentment toward the Duchess of Sussex.

Jessica's reputation took a serious hit after she was accused of exhibiting "white privilege" during an online controversy, leaving her socially side-lined.

In the aftermath, her television career came to a halt, and she resigned from the charity she founded to support homeless women in Canada, the U.S., and the U.K. - a move said to have been deeply painful for her.

Meghan reportedly ended their friendship around the same time. "Jessica was once Meghan's closest confidante and the keeper of her secrets. She knows everything," a source said.

The two women had been best friends for years after meeting in Canada, where Jessica, 45, had introduced Meghan – who was then based in Toronto while filming Suits – to the city's thriving social scene.

They remained close during the early stages of Meghan's relationship with Prince Harry, with Jessica being the first friend the Duchess of Sussex called from the grounds of Kensington Palace when the duke proposed.

Jessica's children - twins Brian and John and daughter Ivy – even served as page boys and bridesmaid at Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding in 2018.

However, two years later, the pair went their separate ways as sources claimed at the time Meghan, 44, had ended the friendship due to the drama surrounding Jessica.

Until now, Jessica has maintained a diplomatic silence, failing to speak out on the distance from her once best friend she considered to have been like family.

But if Jessica now chooses to tell her side of the story, it could "entail opening up on her friendship with the royal," a source told The Mirror.

"Jessica was let down and hurt by these false accusations swirling around her. She was really put through the mud in 2020 and has had an emotional time since then, watching from the side-lines while it all played out in the media with false reports about her, and unable to say anything.

"This could be her chance to set the record straight about a lot of things that she was accused of, after being cancelled," said the insider.

They continued: "She has the receipts. No one had a voice for her and helped her to get the truth out at the time, so writing a book would be the chance to reclaim her power and counteract the false stories, like the one about the treatment of Princess Charlotte during the bridesmaid's dress fitting in 2018 for Meghan's wedding to Harry.

“If she goes ahead with a book deal, Jessica would finally be able to explain what really took place at that time and correct all the false narratives that have been spun around her.”

Back when the scandal broke, it was reported that Meghan reacted with shock after hearing of Jessica's “tone deaf” threats to sue Exeter, and swiftly decided she can “no longer be associated with her”.

“Meghan is absolutely mortified that she’s been dragged into this complete mess. She said Jessica is in no way a racist, but the way she handled the situation was tone deaf and heartbreaking,” a friend of Meghan’s alleged at the time.
