The sudden demise of actress and dancer Shefali Jariwala on June 27 left the entertainment industry and her fans in deep shock. Popularly known as the Kanta Laga girl Shefali passed away at just 42 due to a heart attack. Soon after reports began circulating that her death was linked to anti-ageing treatments a claim that has now been strongly refuted by her husband actor Parag Tyagi.
Did Shefali take anti-ageing drugs?
In a heartfelt video posted on his YouTube channel Parag Tyagi broke his silence three months after Shefali’s passing. He firmly denied the widespread claims that Shefali had taken anti-ageing drugs on an empty stomach which allegedly led to her cardiac arrest.
Parag clarified “Shefali never took any anti-ageing drug. These are all rumours. She even used to forget to take her regular multivitamins.”
According to him Shefali opted for IV drips once a month to maintain her health which contained basic supplements like Vitamin C collagen glutathione and antioxidants not harmful drugs.
Was Shefali fasting that day?
Another rumour that had made headlines was that Shefali had been fasting on the day of her death which allegedly weakened her body. Addressing this Parag explained “Yes Shefali had kept a fast on June 27 but after her prayers she ate food. It’s not true that she was starving the whole day.”
He also dismissed the narrative that her youthful looks came from treatments. Instead he credited her disciplined lifestyle. “She looked young and beautiful because she worked hard on her body not because of any shortcuts” Parag said.
Remembering her final moments
Parag grew visibly emotional as he recalled the horrifying night he lost his wife. He revealed that he had tried performing CPR on Shefali to save her life. “She gasped for breath a couple of times but her eyes didn’t move and her body had already given up” he shared.
Calling it the darkest night of his life Parag said “This was the most terrifying night I’ve ever faced. You plan so much in life but everything can change in just one moment.”
Through his emotional statement Parag Tyagi not only put an end to the swirling rumours but also highlighted how unpredictable life can be. His words serve as both a tribute to Shefali Jariwala and a reminder that behind the glamour of showbiz lies very real pain and human fragility.
