The companys shares have seen a meteoric rise since its listing. Since May 28 Belrise Industries shares have risen by approximately 83%. The stock which was listed at Rs 90 is now trading at Rs 166. He owns 53 crore shares Shrikant Badve owns 59.56% of the companys shares. This means he owns approximately 53 crore shares with a market value of approximately Rs 9550 crore. Besides being the companys MD he is also the economic affairs advisor to the Maharashtra government. Additionally Badwe has served as the brand ambassador for Magnetic Maharashtra and Make in India and in this role he has worked with Sachin Tendulkar and Madhuri Dixit. Founded Belrise in 1998 Shrikant Badwe founded Belrise in 1998 with just three employees. Today the company employs over 8000 people and has become a renowned auto manufacturing brand. Belrise has 17 manufacturing units across the country producing parts for two-wheelers three-wheelers four-wheelers and commercial vehicles. The companys annual revenue exceeds Rs 7000 crore.
