' Kantara , released in 2022, was a blockbuster success and set box office records across India. Following that success, the prequel titled ' Kantara Chapter 1 ' is set to hit the screens on October 2nd. The trailer went viral within hours of its release and has created great anticipation among fans.
Fake poster sparks shock and controversy among fans
Along with the trailer release, a fake poster went viral on social media. The poster stated, "Viewers coming to watch the film 'Kantara Chapter 1' must follow three rules: 1. Do not drink alcohol, 2. Do not smoke, and 3. Do not eat non-vegetarian food." When the poster went viral, various criticisms and protests were seen on social media. As fans were confused, the team behind the film was asked questions.
Rishab Shetty clears the air on the controversy
Addressing the controversy at the 'Kantara Chapter 1' press meet, Rishabh Shetty said, "Food is a matter of personal preference. No one has the authority to dictate the rules. That poster has nothing to do with us. It was a shock to us when it came to our attention."
"It was the work of some people to promote themselves within the popularity of the film. It has nothing to do with the film," he clarified.
Rishab Shetty shares his emotional journey of 5 years
Rishab Shetty also spoke about his hard work, saying, “We haven’t slept properly for the last three months. Everyone worked on the film as if it were their own. In fact, I myself almost died 4 or 5 times during the shoot. But the divine we believed in saved me.”
Expressing himself, he shared, “Kandhara has been an emotional journey for me for 5 years. I worked on the first part for 2 years and the prequel for 3 years. In these 5 years, I haven't been able to take proper care of my family and children. The only emotion I have now is the one that completes cinema".
