As both Kohli and Rohit have already retired from T20Is after 2024 World Cup and from Tests in May ODIs remain the only format left for both players. Recently the BCCI posted a video of Rohit Sharma training with KL Rahul at the board’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru indicating that the current ODI skipper is gearing up for the three-match series against Australia beginning October 19.
Meanwhile the latest report has cast doubt over Kohlis future particularly with the 2027 ODI World Cup a long way off. Rohit and Kohli last played for India on March 9 this year when the Men in won the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai by defeating New Zealand.

Yes Shreyas is taking a break and has returned to Mumbai. He has informed the selectors that he wont be able to play in the second four-day match against Australia A. However he remains in fray for a spot in the middle-order when the selectors meet to pick the squad for the West Indies series a Times of India report quoted a source as saying.
India A posted a total of 531 runs
Iyer did play the first India A match against Australia A and managed to score only 8 and 13 runs respectively.During the match Iyer also appeared to fall for questionable umpiring decision against spinner Corey Rocchiccioli.
Even though Iyer couldnt perform with the bat India A performed well against Australia A in the previous match as they posted a total of 531 runs in response to Australias 532.
