Diwali (Diwali 2025) is now just a few days away and this time the happiness of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) employees has doubled. The authority has announced a Diwali bonus of ₹ 25,000 to its employees this year.
According to MHADA officials, in 2024 employees got a bonus of ₹ 23,000. This time employee organizations had demanded ₹ 30,000 bonus, but the authority agreed to give ₹ 25,000. This is ₹ 2,000 more than the previous year, causing an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the employees.
The Diwali bonus was proposed at the MHADA meeting held on Thursday. The officials unanimously approved the proposal after discussing the proposal. After the decision, there was a festive atmosphere among the employees and officers.
At the same time, Diwali bonus may also be announced soon for Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) employees. According to sources, this year it is possible to increase bonus amount from ₹ 500 to ₹ 1,000. Last year, BMC employees got a bonus of ₹ 29,000 and this time it can reach around ₹ 30,000. However, the employees have demanded a 20% increase, but it is less likely to be completed.
The Diwali bonus announcement for MHADA and BMC employees is like economic relief before the festival. This will not only be full of employees' pockets, but will also increase the markets. This announcement of Diwali bonus is no less than a gift for employees and their families in the festive season.
