Originally made in Kannada Mahavatara Narasimha was released on July 26 in Hindi Malayalam Tamil and Telugu. The film was a smash hit in both the Kannada and Hindi versions remaining at the box office for over a month and a half.
According to a report by Sacnilk the movie has minted Rs 326 crore across the globe. Not just that Mahavatara Narasimha has a rating of 9 on IMDb.
Many reports claim that the budget of the film was hardly Rs 15 crore even less than Kantara.
Mahavatara Narasimha is directed by Ashvin Kumar. It is an animated film. In an interview with Hindustan Times Ashvin said about the film We knew from the beginning that it had to be animated because the scale required was not possible with live action. If it had been done in live action the cost would have been too high.
