Actors Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra are all set to charm audiences in the upcoming rom-com ' Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari '.

Ahead of the release, Rohit opened up about how he got the call for the film in an interview with ANI.

According to him, it was casting director Mukesh Chhabra who reached out first. “He told me, ‘Shashank is working on a film, and we have Varun, Janhvi, and Sanya locked. Now, we are looking for the fourth character. Shashank likes your work and would like you to meet him,’” Rohit recalled. What followed was a meeting with director Shashank Khaitan , and the role of Vikram Singh was sealed.

Sanya Malhotra wanted to be herself on screen

The project was particularly exciting for Sanya because it allowed her to be closer to her real self on screen. She shared how she had been hoping for a role where she could truly enjoy the process without changing who she was. “I got a call from Shashank, and he told me he had written a script and wanted me to read it. I kept telling my team that I wanted a film where I looked like myself. In all the characters I’ve done so far, I’ve always looked different,” she said. Sanya added while still staying true to her personality, this opportunity promised fun on set.
