New Delhi. A major controversy has arisen over the trophy after India’s stunning victory in the final of Asia Cup 2025. The Indian team has refused to take the trophy from ACC President Mohsin Naqvi. Naqvi is also the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He made anti -India statements throughout the tournament. Because of this, the Indian team has not yet got the trophy. Nakvi has gone from Dubai International Stadium with the trophy. This dispute is still going on. No party is willing to withdraw from its point.

In the final, the Indian cricket team defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets. Another match began after the 22 -yards pitch ended. This match was being played behind the curtain. The trophy presentation ceremony was delayed by 45 minutes after the match. The Indian team refused to take the trophy from Naqvi. Naqvi is also the internal minister of Pakistan. He made anti-India statements repeatedly throughout the tournament. He also made fun of India through objectionable and inflammatory social media posts.

According to a cricbing report, Naqvi said that the Indian team can take their medals only. A formal ceremony should be held for this. In this ceremony, he wants to give the award himself. However, their demand is unlikely to be met. No such ceremony will be held.

The Indian team consulted BCCI officials in Mumbai. He then decided not to have any connection with Naqvi. Even before the Asia Cup final started, the world knew that India would refuse to take the trophy from Naqvi. The Indian team did not join hands with any person in the Pakistan camp during the entire Asia Cup. Naqvi posted anti -India comments on social media despite assuming the post of ACC chief.

Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma and Kuldeep Yadav received their personal awards at the presentation ceremony. Pakistan players were also given checks and medals of runners up. But there was no trophy presentation for the Indian team. Naqvi wanted to give the trophy himself. He did not want to let anyone else come in the headlines. After this, he took the trophy from Naqvi Stadium. He did not submit the title to India.
