Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco tied the knot in Santa Barbara on September 27. The ceremony was attended by 170 guests, including close friends Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. The star-studded event quickly became the talk of the entertainment world, not only for the glamorous setting but also for the emotional moments shared between the bride and her loved ones.

One of the most memorable highlights came when Taylor Swift delivered her wedding speech. Swift, 35, who is currently engaged to NFL star Travis Kelce, began her toast with humor. She joked that Gomez had “beaten her to the altar.” The line drew laughter from the guests and lightened the atmosphere.

But her speech soon turned serious. Swift called Gomez her “sister” and spoke warmly about their long-standing friendship. She reminded everyone that both she and Gomez had faced heartbreaks in the past. Whenever one of them struggled in relationships or faced challenges in their careers, the other was always there for support.

Swift mentioned how they had leaned on each other during those difficult times. She pointed out that Gomez’s longest-known relationship had been with Justin Bieber, while her own was with actor Joe Alwyn. Both friendships and breakups had shaped their journeys.

The Grammy-winning singer went on to say that true happiness came for Gomez when she fully embraced herself. It was then, she emphasized, that her best friend found love with Blanco. She called him “the most perfect person” for Gomez and insisted that their relationship was not luck, but pure love.

Swift concluded her toast by saying she had never seen Gomez as happy as she was that day. Guests described the moment as deeply moving, with many shedding tears.

Gomez, 33, looked radiant as she exchanged vows with Blanco, 37. Their wedding was a blend of elegance and intimacy, surrounded by family, friends, and fellow artists. The ceremony symbolized a fresh start for the couple, who made their relationship public in late 2023.
