NIA Files Charges Against 11 in Punjab Terror Attack Linked to Khalistani Group

Charges Filed in Khalistani Terror Attack Case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted a chargesheet against 11 individuals involved in a terrorist attack orchestrated by a banned Khalistani organization at a police station in Punjab on Saturday.


According to officials, the chargesheet was presented before a special NIA court in Mohali, Punjab. The accused face various charges under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Arms Act, and the Explosive Substances Act. All of the accused have been apprehended.


Additionally, there are 11 other identified suspects who remain at large. The attack was publicly claimed by overseas operatives of the banned terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), including Harpreet Singh, also known as Happy Pasia, Mannu Agwan, and Gurpreet Singh, referred to as Gopi Navsharian. This incident occurred late on April 6 of this year.


The attack on the Kila Lal Singh police station in the Batala district involved a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) and was executed with the active support of foreign terrorists. The objective was to instill fear and promote the agenda of anti-India factions.
