Berhampur: The Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) in Odisha has implemented a new policy requiring all employees who commute on two-wheelers to wear helmets while coming to work.

This directive was officially announced by BeMC Commissioner Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshir.

The corporation has stated that disciplinary measures will be enforced against those who fail to comply with this rule.

Approximately 1,000 employees travel to the BeMC office each day.

BeMC Mayor Sanghamitra Dalei emphasized that this initiative is a crucial move towards enhancing road safety within the city.
