Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma’s old wedding story has recently revealed a surprising twist. Their 2017 wedding in Italy almost got washed away by a heavy downpour the night before, forcing the team to change the venue overnight.

Wedding videographer Vishal Punjabi disclosed in a recent interview that “the entire mandap built a day before was destroyed in the rain. Wedding planner Devika Narain stayed up all night and managed to move the entire setup to another location.”

According to Vishal, despite the stressful situation, Virat and Anushka remained completely calm, as they had full faith in their wedding planners. Interestingly, the couple didn’t even see the mandap before the ceremony, showing their remarkable trust in the team.

The videographer added, “When I arrived on the wedding day, Virat and Anushka didn’t know me or my work, but they welcomed me warmly, saying, ‘We don’t know what you do, but if you’re here, you must be good at it.’”

Calling it an unforgettable experience, Vishal said, “It was a small private ceremony, but both of them were genuinely kind and lovely people. They trusted everyone completely and gave us full creative freedom.”

These revelations highlight how Virat and Anushka’s serene trust and professionalism turned a potentially chaotic situation into one of the most memorable weddings in Bollywood history. Their wedding still remains fresh in fans’ hearts.
