Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoors romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has failed to make waves at the box office. The film directed by Shashank Khaitan follows the story of two ex-lovers who team up to make their former partners jealous only to find themselves falling in love again.

As per reports on its fifth day Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari saw a significant drop in collections earning approximately Rs 3 crore. Despite a strong opening the film struggled to maintain its momentum with some reports suggesting it collected around Rs 33 crore domestically in five days while recording a 67% drop in its numbers. Globally the film has grossed around Rs 42 crore. The movies performance was impacted by stiff competition from Rishab Shettys Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 and mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The films occupancy on Monday was around 17-18% with some reports indicating an overall occupancy of 11.33% in Hindi theaters.
The films box office performance has been a topic of discussion with many wondering if it will be able to cross the Rs 50-crore mark. Despite the Buy One Get One offer the films collections continued to decline on its first Monday.
