‘Diwali symbolizes Ram’s return’

But for crores of religious people of the country and Delhi, Diwali is a holy opportunity to Prabhu Ram’s return. Delhi government will give written appeal in court

According to media reports, the Delhi government can submit a written appeal to the Supreme Court, seeking limited permission of certified green firecrackers from recognized government agencies like NEERI and Peso. The government claims that the smoke emanating from these firecrackers will remain within the prescribed standards and this will not increase the pollution.

Supreme Court’s latest trend

The Supreme Court has recently given conditional permission to build green firecrackers in Delhi-NCR. The court has clearly stated that the sale and use of these firecrackers in Delhi-NCR is not allowed for now. The next hearing is to be held on 8 October, in which the court can give a final verdict on the sale and use of green firecrackers.
