In a tragic incident in Odisha's Ganjam district, a 30-year-old man lost his life due to a stabbing linked to a financial disagreement on Monday morning, as reported by local authorities.
The violent event occurred in Reddy Damodarapalli village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Dharakote police station.
The victim has been identified as B Shankar Reddy, who lived in the same village.
Following the incident, police initiated a murder investigation after receiving a complaint from the victim's brother, B Sanjib Reddy, at the Dharakote police station.
Authorities have detained at least three individuals for questioning regarding the case.
According to the complaint, the suspect had borrowed Rs 20,000 from the victim approximately four years ago. Tensions flared early Monday when the victim sought repayment.
The dispute escalated, leading the accused to allegedly stab Reddy with a knife before fleeing the scene, as detailed by a police officer.
Reddy was quickly transported to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.
