New UPI Rule: The way payments are made in India has completely changed. Millions of people transact through UPI every day, whether it's buying goods at a store or paying bills online. Now, another major change is coming to the UPI system, which will make the payment experience even easier.

This will likely eliminate the need to enter a PIN in the future. NPCI and banks have completed all preparations for this, and with the launch of the new system, digital payments will be faster and more secure than ever before. Starting tomorrow, people will be able to make UPI payments without a UPI PIN. Learn which methods will work.

You will be able to make UPI payments without a PIN.

Starting October 8th, a major change is coming for UPI users. Now, there will be no need to enter a PIN every time you make a payment. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has completed preparations to add a new biometric feature. This will allow you to authorize payments using your face or fingerprint. This change will not only speed up the payment process but also significantly increase security.

How will the new biometric system work?

In this new feature, whenever you make a UPI payment, your phone's camera or fingerprint scanner will be activated. As soon as your face or fingerprint is scanned, the data will be matched with the Aadhaar database. If the matching is successful, the payment will be completed within seconds. This feature will be available only to users whose bank account and UPI ID are linked to Aadhaar. This change will eliminate problems like forgotten or stolen PINs and make payments more secure than ever.

Both security and convenience will be enhanced.

NPCI plans to showcase this feature at the Global Fintech Festival in Mumbai. According to reports, all banks have been instructed to update the system. To avoid any delays in the launch, the RBI has long been emphasizing security and innovation in the payment system. Given the increasing incidence of PIN theft and phishing, biometric authentication is considered crucial. Because every person's face and fingerprint are unique, hacking this system is virtually impossible.
