When it comes to machines and technology, it is no secret that MS Dhoni loves them. His bike collection is proof of that. Now the former India and CSK skipper has once again expanded his interest and legacy beyond cricket. Now he is an official drone pilot. Yes, you read that right.

"Having our brand ambassador and investor, MS Dhoni, personally undergo the training and get certified as a pilot is a monumental milestone for us. He picked it up very quickly and was extremely focused on learning. His belief in our mission to revolutionise the drone industry is a massive source of encouragement for the entire team. Mahi Bhai is an inspiration, and his hands-on approach validates our commitment to skill and innovation in this sector," said Agnishwar Jayaprakash, the founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace.
MS Dhoni More Than Just a CricketerDhoni has always been interested in things beyond cricket. In 2011, he was appointed the honorary role of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army's Parachute Regiment (106 Para TA Battalion). The India legend also served with Victor Force in Jammu and Kashmir for 15 days in 2019. After five parachute jumps from a C-130J Super Hercules plane, he got his certification as a trained paratrooper. He was also spotted playing golf, growing strawberries and collecting vintage cars. The man loves to grow and learn no matter how old he gets.

Dhoni last played for India in 2019 and since 2020, he has been playing only in the IPL. Will he play in IPL 2026? It has not been confirmed but nor has it been denied. At 44, it is only a matter of time when he calls it a day.
When Will MS Dhoni Retire from IPL?Dhoni played for India from 2004 to 2019. He led the side from 2007 to 2018. Under him India won the T20 World Cup in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011 and the Champions Trophy in 2009. He also led India to becoming No. 1 for the first time in Tests in 2009. As CSK skipper, Dhoni won five titles from 10 finals in 16 editions. If he does play in 2026, it should be his final outing. But then again, one can never tell.
