As *Rise & Fall* heads towards its grand finale, the weekend’s episodes bring a whirlwind of pranks, belly laughs and brutal betrayals hosted by Ashneer Grover on Amazon MX Player. Starring actors Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree Verma and Arbaaz Patel, activists Aarush Bhola, Bali, Manisha Rani, Aditya Narayan, Kiku Sharda, Aakriti Negi and Nayandeep Rakshit, the stakes have never been higher in this social experiment that juxtaposes power and perseverance.
The frenzy erupts in the Red Room, where Grover disrupts the party and humorously teases Arbaaz and Dhanashree for working hard for their ticket to the finale. “You should be scared too! Nikki had come and burst the bombs – I thought your game was over!” Grover quipped, pointing to the blowout mid-game. Reflecting on his spectacular win, Arbaaz admitted, “I was not afraid in the pure game, but so close to the finale, don’t miss it.” Grover praised their inseparable pair: “Even after all this, he couldn’t break you,” before taking a sarcastic dig at the business savvy: “We got the lip balm sponsorship inquiry!” The blows lightened the mood, but soon exposed old wounds – the Bali-Aditya rift. Grover praised Aditya’s fast gameplay, which angered Bali who termed it “inappropriate”, reigniting the ongoing feud between them.
Humor was added through the powerplay segment, in which Kiku Sharda played the role of an attractive astrologer Pravesh Kapoor. “I am the world-famous tarot card reader from Mulund!” He made the Tower laugh by telling wild tarot twists and cosmic roasts. The banter culminated in a spontaneous dance competition, which was a rare respite amid the hustle and bustle.
But that lightness was shattered with the twist of Ticket to Go Home—a symbolic vote on elimination that turned out to be poisonous. When Aakriti chose Bali, people reacted angrily: “Embarrassed, Rondu, loser!” he replied. Aditya’s “emotional man-boy” tag added fuel to the fire for Bali, and ultimately Bali and Aarush topped the hit list. Although not binding, the sharp accusations exposed fractured alliances, and anger boiled over in the divided mansion.
Inspired by the British format, the 42-day show, which premiered on September 6 under the keen eye of Grover, is a story of rich versus poor that has kept the audience engaged with its powerful power plays. Stream daily at 12 noon on Amazon MX Player; Watch TV Cut at 10:30 pm on Sony Entertainment Television. As the excitement for the finale builds, will the workers rise or fall? The tower is tottering—look.
