Ind vs West Indies 2nd Test: West Indies has given India a target of only 121 runs to win the second test. On the fourth day of the match, West Indies were all out for 390 runs in their second innings. With this, India has a golden opportunity to clean sweep this two-match series by 2-0. At the time of stumps, India’s score was 63 runs for one wicket and it needed 58 runs to win. Yashasvi Jaiswal was out early. KL Rahul was playing with 25 runs and SAI Sudarshan was playing with 30 runs.
Team India forced West Indies to play follow-on. The guest team had a disappointing start in this innings as well. They lost two wickets at the score of 35. After this, opener John Campbell along with Shai Hope averted the danger of defeat of the innings by adding 177 runs for the third wicket. Campbell scored 115 runs in 199 balls with the help of 12 fours and 3 sixes. After Campbell’s dismissal, Shai Hope gave the team the lead by adding 59 runs for the fourth wicket with captain Roston Chase.
Shai Hope also scored a century for West Indies. Facing 214 balls, he scored 103 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 12 fours. Captain Roston Chase also contributed 40 runs to the team’s account. Justin Greaves remained unbeaten on 50 runs, while Jaden Seals added 32 runs. Seales and Greaves made a partnership of 79 runs for the last wicket, due to which the match had to be decided on the 5th day. For India, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah took 3-3 wickets in this innings, while Mohammad Siraj took 2 wickets.
India had a lead of 270 runs in the first innings. India, who came to bat first after winning the toss, declared its innings at 518/5. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 175 runs, while captain Shubman Gill scored 129 not out. Jomel Warrican took maximum three wickets in this innings. In reply, West Indies were all out for just 248 runs in the first innings. Alik Athanaz scored the highest score of 41 runs, while Shai Hope added 36 runs. India achieved a huge lead of 270 runs on the basis of first innings.
