Nicolas Jackson has backed Chelsea teammate Moises Caicedo on social media after the midfielder posted a statement regarding his split from agent Manuel Sierra, which has now been deleted. That is said to have been their situation since their agreement expired on August 14, with the player having now appointed "people he can trust."

Caicedo's message also claimed that Epic Sports founder Ali Barat does not represent him. However, Barat does represent Jackson, along with Arsenal winger Noni Madueke and Tottenham Hotspur summer signing Xavi Simons.

His clientele also features Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen and Soumaila Coulibaly. The latter joined Strasbourg from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Caicedo's social media statement read: "Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former agent, Manuel Sierra, of Football Division Worldwide, and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic.

"The contract ended on August 14, 2025, and the player has now appointed people he can trust." Mirror Football has contacted Sierra for comment.

The deletion of the message, which Jackson had liked, occurred within minutes. An amended version then appeared, omitting any reference to "the player has now appointed people that he can trust".

That is also no longer available to view, leaving no statement on the player's profile. A BBC report suggests Caicedo will now rely on his family for guidance rather than any formal representative.

They claim the post's deletion was down to clumsy phrasing, with no desire to suggest any animosity towards Barat or Sierra. Epic Sports recently posted about Caicedo on their Instagram account, congratulating the player after he scored for Chelsea against Liverpool.

The Telegraph have also reported that Barat has never been the midfielder's agent, but rather, his role was to advise Caicedo on his career. Sierra was instrumental in negotiating his move to the Blues from Brighton & Hove Albion.
