  • some saffron
  • cardamom powder

Rasmalai recipe step-by-step

  • First of all, prepare paneer by boiling milk and adding lemon to it.
  • Due to this, the milk will curdle and become soft chhena. Once the milk curdles well, turn off the flame and separate the chhena and water.
  • Wash the cheese thoroughly with clean water so that the sourness of lemon or vinegar gets removed.
  • After washing the chhena, press it well to extract all the water and then give it small round shapes.
  • After separating the water from chhena, mash it well and make dough for rasmalai.
  • Make round balls from chenna and make flat shape of Rasgulla.
  • After making Rasgulla, prepare sugar syrup.
  • Make a light thick syrup by mixing water and sugar, do not make the syrup too thick.
  • Add the cheese balls one by one in this syrup and boil for a few minutes.
  • When the Rasgullas are cooked and swollen, turn off the flame.
  • For Rasmalai, boil milk again in a pan and add sugar, saffron and cardamom powder to it.
  • Cook it well until it thickens and add the prepared Rasgulla and cook on low flame for a few minutes.
  • This will increase both the aroma and taste of Rasmalai.
  • Dry fruits and rose petals can also be added for garnish.
